We were drawn immediately to the density of this Magee of Donegal linen. You can feel the quality and texture in its strong hand that maintains, somehow, a brushed softness. One doesn’t often encounter such fine detail of a repeated check pattern in linen–it’s more often the product of yarn-dyed cottons. Which made this fabric the perfect candidate for an Italian-made, lightweight parka inspired by the pre-prep, madras era of the late 1970s.
