Made in Italy. 100% linen with yarn-dyed glen plaid by Magee of Donegal. 100% cotton canvas lining (body), 100% nylon lining (sleeve). Raglan sleeve. Full-zip and snap button closure. Adjustable hood with drawcord and leather trim. Flap pockets with snap-closure at waist. Welt pocket with zipper-closure on chest. Adjustable waist and hem with drawcord closure. Elasticated cuffs with velcro closure.

We were drawn immediately to the density of this Magee of Donegal linen. You can feel the quality and texture in its strong hand that maintains, somehow, a brushed softness. One doesn’t often encounter such fine detail of a repeated check pattern in linen–it’s more often the product of yarn-dyed cottons. Which made this fabric the perfect candidate for an Italian-made, lightweight parka inspired by the pre-prep, madras era of the late 1970s.
