Tracksmith

fall-2017-shoes-header

I’ve been a runner for about 15 years now. The sport came to me when I needed to be able to just get out and do something physical, and surfing and skating were not really options in the same way when I was younger. I decided that if I put forth the same approach that I did to when I skated every day, running could be pretty interesting. I didn't really have a lot in common with the running world but that didn’t matter. I saw it as a sport for individuals, no different than skating or surfing.

You did what you want, how you wanted to. Go as far as you want, as fast as you want, and wear what you want while you do it.

That last part was important to me, as I quickly decided that what was on offer for runners didn’t suit me. Outside of my shoes, the rest of the gear just seemed kind of goofy. The running industry just didn't have me in mind and I didn’t need all the junk they were pushing on people. The average runner just doesn’t need the technical gear to shave off 100ths of a second off their morning 5 mile run. Years later, one company has realized this and I am thankful.

Racists-Cant-Rock

Boston based Tracksmith is for all runners, but they keep it incredibly simple. They are serious runners who have taste. They also support the idea of amateur athletics, where money has no influence on results, and people do it for the love of the sport and to challenge themselves. We are proud to have combined our shared love of running to put together a capsule collection for the NYC Marathon.

NoahxTracksmith-NYMarathon

From Friday, November 3rd through Monday, November 6th, we’ll be hosting Tracksmith at our NYC Store for a pop-up shop. During the pop-up our collaboration capsule collection will be on sale alongside other Tracksmith gear, as well as our usual collection of Noah clothing. After the marathon on Sunday, all finishers are welcome to visit us to receive an exclusive patch, and get their race time stamped on a commemorative NYC Marathon poster.
