The importance of album artwork as it relates to inspiration here at Noah can’t be understated. Aside from our seasonal collaborations, we’re constantly looking back at designs that adorn the record sleeves of the bands many of us here grew up listening to, and still do. With that said, we’re excited to collaborate with the estate of Barney Bubbles on a small collection of t-shirts for Spring ’22.
Having led a short but impactful career, Bubbles’ artwork landed on dozens of album overs and posters throughout the 1960s and 70s British independent music scene. From Elvis Costello and Ian Dury, to The Damned and Hawkwind, his distinctive approach to design would solidify him within the genre as one of the most influential artists of all time.
