This 13.4 oz selvedge denim is milled in Japan and carefully selected after an exhaustive search for the perfect fabric to complement our new Bootcut Jean. We wanted a denim that felt true to the raw, rigid, slightly neppy indigo denim you’d find on a pair of crisp, deadstock jeans from the 1970s or earlier—without overdoing it.


Nep occurs as a natural irregularity caused by imperfect yarns and movements made by older shuttle looms. As the looms shake and tangle the threads, broken weft yarns form tiny white knots on the fabric’s surface—an unintentional quirk that came to define the look and feel of some vintage denim.
