Donegal Wool Buffalo Check
Donegal, Ireland is home to a distinctive and special tweed, characterized by its speckled look provided by colorful "neps" that are spun into the contrasting yarn. The resulting heathered look takes inspiration from the county's equally textured and colorfully rich natural landscape. Though many mills outside of Ireland have attempted to replicate this traditional cloth, only a small handful of historic mills (about 3–4) still weave authentic Donegal tweed in County Donegal. We worked closely with one of them to specially develop this warm, autumnal check that infuses a rustic Americana feel into an inherently Irish cloth, which we then cut in a fresh and unexpected silhouette.
