The surprise of this, another of our three Magee of Donegal fabrics for the season, is a matter of nuance. A meticulous process of twisting the linen and wool yarns with incremental hits of nylon and silk, this classic houndstooth pattern bears a quiet, colorful fleck throughout. It’s a look with a long history in womenswear, most commonly as skirts. The sturdiness of this fabric struck us as an ideal opportunity to return to a favorite style from Noah’s past, a 1950’s jacket.
